Frequently asked questions
about brushing with a
hydrodynamic sonic toothbrush

HOW DO I REMOVE STAINS?

The Whitening mode is best for removing stubborn stains, particularly when in conjunction with the Whitening Brush Heads. Brushing with this combination removes stains from nicotine, wine, tea and coffee.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY FIXED BRACES?

To clean your braces, we recommend the Active mode for effective removal of plaque and bacteria. Place the brush gently between the braces and the gums, then move the brush along the teeth using a light circular motion.

Target® & Focus® are our latest brush head duo for all edel+white sonic toothbrushes that were designed to clean teeth, gums and all that's in-between. These smaller, more attentive brush heads are especially suited for those with implants, bridges and braces.

I'M EXPERIENCING DISCOMFORT DURING BRUSHING. IS THIS NORMAL?

You may experience discomfort when you start using the Health Suite. Though this sensation can be uncomfortable at first, it is important to understand that it’s actually a good thing. The UltraSoft bristles of the Health Suite are so fine and flexible that they are able to reach places that ordinary toothbrush bristles cannot reach. Naturally, these areas are unused to being touched, which is why you may experience discomfort; however, it means that the Health Suite is cleaning deeper than any toothbrush previously used. This discomfort should disappear after a few days of use. You may also feel a tickling sensation which some users find unpleasant, this is because the power of the Health Suite is stronger than you may be used to. This sensation should last no longer than two weeks.

HOW OFTEN MUST I CHANGE MY BRUSH HEAD?

We recommend that you change your brush head at least every three months. Studies have shown that toothbrushes remove less plaque and are generally less effective after this time. It is also important to change heads following illness to avoid reinfection.

HOW LONG IS THE BATTERY LIFE?

Before first use, we recommend charging your Health Suite for 16 hours. Four LED lights indicate the battery level, each one representing 25%. This means that if only one LED light is on, the battery level is less than 25%. A fully charged battery lasts around two weeks, based on twice daily brushing of 2-3 mins.

MY SONIC IS FAULTY. WHAT CAN I DO?
